Carbon capture seeks to trap carbon dioxide produced by industrial activity and store it in a way that it is unable to affect the atmosphere. Carbon capture, utilization, and storage have been the subject of several legislative efforts over the past few years; however, the prospect of carbon dioxide pipelines traversing the State has been met with opposition.
