Ask Congress to cut wasteful spending and protect the public from CCS!
Carbon capture, transport, and storage (CCS) can risk public health and safety, damage cropland, pollute water, and take people's land.  Last February, hundreds of organizations called on the House Ways and Means Committee and Senate Finance Committee to use the budget reconciliation process to cut this wasteful and harmful spending.

CCS is not possible without federal subsidies provided by 45Q of the IRS tax code. Industry knows these tax credits will cost  over $800 billion in subsidies.  The Institute for Energy, Economics, and Financial Analysis has demonstrated that, if left unchecked, these subsidies could ballon to nearly $3 trillion by 2050.

Will you tell Congress to use the budget reconciliation process to cut this wasteful subsidy, and protect hard-working people from this technology? Please add your name to the petition, below.
